I used to be the quiet pushover kid in the corner afraid to speak up.

Then I lived in NE DC and west Philly for 7 years.

I learned real quick pushovers get eaten alive (in life). The city just helped me get there.

No is a powerful tool. It’s really a form of saying yes to yourself.

But with great power comes great responsibility. The no giveth and the no taketh away.

I have a rocky relationship with this word. A former yes-man turned no-man.
